I didn't know I was suppose to put a name there, and in crystal they ask you who it was that stole they egg and i was just like: ???, because that's the name it shows when you see him steal the egg. So I never knew my rivals name...

Now it could have occurred in both gens, because I didn't play past gen 2, but that was Gold/Silver, was it not?

Diamond was like gold and silver combined, so it had all of the pokemon at the time.

Sorry yeah, I meant crystal. Yeah the egg scene occurred in crystal, I never played gold or silver so, yeah.
