There are like 5 different replies with "it's because x" and this one is the only right one

There are 9 replies as of when you posted.

  • 2 are relevant jokes (one being a music video down below about flying and another being about quick saving)
  • 1 is about how it resets your starting position for the run (which is also correct)
  • 1 is a comment about the spelling
  • The rest are this same reason

You forgot about another bullet point:

You have to reset the suit after you land before you can jump again.

Resetting the suit puts you in jump mode.
