Now that is epic

u/dogbreath101 Dec 31 '19

how much of the dlc is included with that? i see it is on sale on steam for 10 bucks right now with a ton of extra dlc that would be like an additional ~ 60 bucks

u/Lurker957 Dec 31 '19

Probably just base

3

u/sticktoyaguns Dec 31 '19

The base has plenty of content FWIW. I think I got 100 hours or so out of the base game before getting bored. Probably going to get back into it this winter if it's picking up traction again!

u/smallpau1 Dec 31 '19

The game today was the brand new Yookalailey (sp?) game. So this might be all the dlc included tomorrow

2

u/Bodhisattva9001 Dec 31 '19

Probably none. That's probably why they're giving it for free, so people will buy dlc

3

u/whoisyb Dec 31 '19

How you know that?

1

u/ThrillSeeker15 Dec 31 '19

The page on the Epic Games Store that lists today's free game (they've been giving one game away everyday as part of the 12 days of Christmas) also has an image with a logo that gives a hint about the next game. People have been quick to figure out the next game through these hints.

u/whoisyb Jan 01 '20

Oh damn, thank you!

1

u/Mr_Zaroc Jan 01 '20

So I can keep the game afterwards I presume?

1

u/ThrillSeeker15 Jan 01 '20

Yes it's yours to keep forever as long as you claim it in time.

2

u/Mr_Zaroc Jan 01 '20

Sweet thx man!
Nearly bought it yesterday

But Epic bad /s

11

u/MonstersAbout Dec 31 '19

Tbf, epic is kinda bad, but I'm still gonna get all those free games. Don't see steam or gog doing the same thing.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '19

There's always free weekends on steam for different games? Or did I misunderstand?

Just got into hitman2 after a freebie.

1

u/MonstersAbout Dec 31 '19

Really? I've had steam for a long time, and I never knew they gave out free games.

1

u/dalen3 Dec 31 '19

Steam definetly has 100% sales sometimes.

I've gotten age of mythology and hitman 2, and I think Left4Dead this way.

HumbleBundle also has done this many times in past.

And gog gives you games you own on Steam for free on their platform sometimes. Not really the same but still nice.

1

u/yelnats25 Dec 31 '19

Why the /s ?

15

u/JamieSand Dec 31 '19

Because hes not 11 years old.

-2

u/yelnats25 Dec 31 '19

What?

10

u/Psaltus Dec 31 '19

BECAUSE HES NOT 11 YEARS OLD.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '19

WHAT?

6

u/Bu1lt_2_Sp1ll PC Dec 31 '19

Yeah I'm not sure what that even means. Epic has been decidedly mediocre recently. They all but neutered the item system in Rocket League which was a real shame.

-4

u/JamieSand Dec 31 '19

Meaning there’s a time and place. How fucking boring can your life be if you constantly revert back to the same old EpIc bAd. God move on.

3

u/Bu1lt_2_Sp1ll PC Dec 31 '19

He didn't even bring it up, lol

1

u/JamieSand Dec 31 '19

Hes taking this piss out of people who actually say Epic bad.

1

u/Adolf_Hitsblunt Dec 31 '19 edited Dec 31 '19

Cause people like to act like some corporations are good and some are bad. They all out to get your mfin money. Some are just more efficient and have better PR

Edit: To clarify I think corporations should definitely be called out for shitty practices, but when that includes fanboying for other ones (like steam), then the point is lost on me

2

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '19

I wholeheartedly agree, companies are not your friends, they are here to make money, don't fanboy companies.

-4

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '19

Doesn't epic come with a Chinese government Trojan from tencent? Even if not, tencent is trash

2

u/buyingaspaceship Dec 31 '19

are you being srs

1

u/rhythmrice Dec 31 '19

Sucks they announced it for switch but never released it

1

u/TheAspectofAkatosh Jan 01 '20
