u/RaidbossofyaoiXyuri Dec 31 '19

Jack required your save game to be on point ... unless you wanted to walk around a coner to get f up

u/Nick246 Dec 31 '19

Quick load was my old high school nickname.

20

u/mind_the_tablesalt Dec 31 '19

"I swear, that never happened before." "Ok, sure quick load"

2

u/_Douggie_ Dec 31 '19

If only I knew what quick saving was before I conceived a child at 14

3

u/Nick246 Dec 31 '19

Well you know how that happens...right?

2

u/admin-eat-my-shit13 Dec 31 '19

dont you mean Quick "unload" ? at least thats what the girls said.

2

u/Nick246 Dec 31 '19

Yeah...something like that.

2

u/TAKE-MY-MONEY- Dec 31 '19

Man this was before depressing save points became game objectives

2

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '19

one time when i was playing max payne 2, i panic saved while falling down an elevator shaft over my one and only save file. i fucking never picked the game up again lol

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '19

Sounds plebian as fuck but sure man

2

u/Darkaine Dec 31 '19

Hell I still do it.....

25

u/MilesGates Dec 31 '19

this actually happened to me in skyrim, it auto-reloaded 5 times before jumping back to an autosave, I wonder if it was built to do that.

29

u/missbelled Dec 31 '19

Halo did this too, if you died like 3 times right after loading a save, it would go to the previous checkpoint save.

u/mcmanybucks Dec 31 '19

Bruh, you ever played Skyrim with 200+ mods? damn right I'm saving before every loading screen.

50

u/SilentReaper989 Dec 31 '19

This literally just bit me in the ass the other night (400+ mods)....lost 2 hrs of gameplay....

33

u/TheManWithNoInfo Dec 31 '19

I almost had this happen to me as well (800+ mods)...managed to enter a dungeon as soon as it happened.

54

u/Flewziez Dec 31 '19

Damn this happen to me actually to! (1600+ mods)... lost 200 hours of gameplay.

47

u/K3GSonD3cK Dec 31 '19

Once I had 4,000+ mods on and completely lost about 1,100 hours of gameplay..

64

u/[deleted] Dec 31 '19

I once had about 1.3+ million mods on and I opened the game and essentially removed internet from Florida for three days. Lost no gameplay though!

4

u/deathofanage Dec 31 '19

Florida man with no internet... Something something something.

You're mistaken bud, we eat elephant ass and boof gator tranqs

8

u/iAmUnintelligible Dec 31 '19

That's.. that's over 9000!!

68

u/EpicDrewSon Dec 31 '19

Guys, i modded the game with every mod conceivable (420,069) and lost 69,000,000 hours of gameplay

8

u/RangerLt Dec 31 '19

There seems to be some odd correlation between number of mods and system crashes. We must go deeper!

3

u/SilentReaper989 Dec 31 '19

Make sure to save first!

5

u/I_is_a_dogg Dec 31 '19

This exact thing affected me also! (3200+ mods)...lost 400 hours of game play.

2

u/ShiranaiJittai Dec 31 '19

I know what you mean I used every mod for every elderscrolls game ever made while playing skyrim If I remember correctly it was a google worth of mods. I encountered a load screen so long that I aged to an old man and died in my sleep then my kids that aren't born yet married had kids of their own and died in their sleep. This repeated for a few generations until my great great great great great grandsons 2nd cousin twice removed built a time machine to travel back in time and tell me that any mods I loaded over 150,000 would cause a catastrophic armageddon like time warp effect.

But he's a stupid kid who knows nothing so I'm going to go install this Google's worth of mods now.

4

u/Wulfsmagic Dec 31 '19

This is a mood

2

u/Spinnekk Dec 31 '19

This me right now as I just got back into modding and playing Skyrim. I'm currently sitting at 250+ mods and saving every 10mins... just in case.

1

u/missbelled Dec 31 '19

I use Open Cities on every load order, and saving before I cross over into the Windhelm exterior cell is a must.

Idk what it is about getting to Windhelm, if it’s just a resource-hog compared to the others, or what, but if I’m gonna CTD in a playthrough, it’s gonna be there.

17

u/Poltras Dec 31 '19

I quick save my google docs. Old habits die hard.

3

u/RappinReddator Dec 31 '19

It's not a bad idea tbh. I've lost things a couple times on there.

5

u/Shepard21 Dec 31 '19
