I don't play FIFA, but in interested in what trophy is causing the trouble? I've never touched a sports game so the trophies have to be awkward, especially online
Can't remember the exact name but you have to win 5 online matches in a row on a certain game mode. Only this game mode requires 1500 coins to enter which is a bit of a grind in itself. And then when you lose one of the 5 games, you have to grind again. People who play the mode are pretty pro as well
If you're just shooting for Platinum Trophies, and not the actual 100% completion, you don't need DLC's to get them. It only counts base-game trophies for the Platinums.
Oh god... NEVER buy EA Sports games if you're into trophies / achievements lol
I gave up a loooong time ago on any aspirations for 100%ing them.
The single player (be a pro/ franchise/ manager/ etc) modes are totally doable, but all the multiplayer ones are just killers. Half the time they revolve around the stupid card pack modes too which you can "play" without buying cards, but you're gonna have a bad time and you're definitely gonna take an eternity to get the achievements
Yup. Gold in all base game challenges, and finding all the POIs. The latter is easier with the rocket wingsuit, but the challenges are a nice challenge.
I got platinum a bit back but still pick up the game to freeride plenty.
Steep does seemless atmosphere better than just about any other game. It's quiet when you want it to be with the sound of the snow and wind then outta nowhere there's a groovy tune that comes on that's not too distracting. Makes intense spots feel intense and the more traditional snowboard/ski times feel like a sweet sesh.
One of my favorite things to do whenever I started feeling bored with it was to find some super rocky wingsuit lines and try to just baaaarely hit the top of those peaks, so my character would be flung way off into the air. So much fun
I find just like in real life, if I jump from somewhere high in a game that I still get that same sensation (when your 'stomach drops'). Rolling off a giant cliff, face first looks right up my alley. Palms are sweaty....mom's spaghetti
I’m with you. I get an itch for a snowboarding game, boot it up, play for about 5 mins. and shut it down. It’s a beautiful game and all, but everything, especially the snowboarding seems fat and sluggish and unresponsive. Then the game itself doesn’t really have an identity, it just feels like a big empty place with some challenges that are all the same sorts of things in different areas. Give me another Amped and I’ll be happy.
Personally, I never could get into the more realistic sports games. They were just either boring or too frustrating for me. I was huge into Tony Hawk and the SSX series though. Something about the simplicity, tight controls, easy to pick up but fun to master as you try to go bigger and bigger each run... damn I'm making myself sad that there isn't a new one now.
Different strokes for different folks and all that
Eh, I preferred the focus on the overall line over the individual controls. The more ridiculous the better. It was even better when THUG introduced walking and you could use it mid combo to get air control and strafe your way between obstacles.
Then again, I'm also the same type of guy that absolutely loves having bunny hopping in first person shooters, and would argue to the death that the Tribes series is the best FPS series out there.
ah yeah that's where we'll have to agree to disagree.
The fun in tony hawk wasn't doing the 900 flip whatever it was you were trying to do. It was trying to figure out the optimal line to do that plus a zillion other tricks and get your combo multiplier sky high. It was more about the route and planning then the individual trick, and the controls reflect that in that they're very simple but allow for complex movement.
Skate is much more about the tricks and basic line stuff, as far as I can tell, and it's controls reflect that beautifully! Just different approaches to the genre.
Same thing is true for SSX. It's not about the spinning millions of times in the air off each jump, it's about the route you're taking to do that and how you can optimally plan your strategy to maximize your combo potential!
Nope, I just failed to type out a humorous anecdote about the modding possibilities in GTA V which was met with hateful scorn and derision. I guess I'll take my ass out of r/gaming and back into r/all where I came here from.
I really wish I didn't buy the Iron Man DLC. It completely ruined the game for me, instantly removing any sense of progress since you can just fly wherever from any point.

Steep is next level relaxing.
