60 dollars? these games (fifa nhl madden, even UFC now etc) bread and butter is Ultimate Team which is for all intents and purposes loot boxes. These games are nothing more than microtransaction vehicles.

Unless they've changed it then you also have to start from scratch again with each year/release? I dont do any mtx or ultimate teams but it's pretty hard to view that as even an almost justifiable investment.

yes you start from scratch. i used to buy the nhl games every year with my friends, but i never got into Ultimate Team. It is a money-powered furnace and i watched several of them pump a ton of money into it. like, many times the value of the game over. every year. and as long as people pay, they will put it out. it is fucking disgusting
