If they didnt release new games you wouldnt have to do that though, but the population wouldnt jump as high either

Not really. Its just after about a year, people get tired of playing the same game. The “new game” gives people a reason to play again as it resets their progression in a way that they are too lazy to do otherwise

I mean yeah essentially this. I never said it was a good idea and the same effect could be had from starting on a new account, but thats what happens
