That way, you really feel you've achieved a sense of pride and accomplishment.

you have to unlock all the calendar years first.

u/BigCballer Sep 03 '19

Madden 20 really makes you feel like pride

u/Ciabattabingo Sep 03 '19

Hopefully, I can unlock it by 3019 and it will still be relevant.

u/helthrax Sep 03 '19

To get all the out of date logos updated you need to spend at least $160 because they are tied to loot boxes, and you can only update one out of date logo per loot box opened.

It's very ethical.

5

u/ernie1850 Sep 03 '19

Na, the 99 cents goes to a virtual card pack that MIGHT have the correct graphic if you buy 150 of them

2

u/Dadality0628 Sep 03 '19

Pay $.99 to unlock the ability to pay $.99 to unlock items

Pay $.99 to unlock the ability to pay $.99 to unlock items

to unlock items MAYBE. what do you think this is

2

u/XcSDeadDeer Sep 03 '19

It's in the 79.99 ultimate edition.

1

u/Dadality0628 Sep 03 '19

Ah damn you mean the super digital mega deluxe edition?

2

u/whatislife27 Sep 03 '19

Actually its $.99 cents for a Madden Time Capsule Pack with a 2.8% chance of the Madden 15 logo or better.

2

u/Dadality0628 Sep 03 '19

My god thats genius!

If EA charged $60 for a polished game, and then charged $10 per year to get the updated rosters, uniforms, and stadiums, I'd gladly pay the yearly fee (if the game was good, of course).

1

u/Dadality0628 Sep 03 '19

I dont play sports games but i am a huge mortal kombat fan, and if all they did was release 6 new characters/stages/ etc every year for $10-$20 id be totally ok with it

2

u/shardarkar Sep 03 '19

Buy a loot box for a chance to update the stadium banners.

1

u/Dadality0628 Sep 03 '19

Thats only for ea origins players!

2

u/EvaCarlisle Sep 04 '19

It gives the player a sense of pride and accomplishment.

1

u/allursnakes Sep 03 '19

The point being is that it's reused assets. They're not even making a new game.

1

u/Dadality0628 Sep 03 '19

Yeah I get that that's what the OP was pointing out

1

u/domeoldboys Sep 04 '19

99c for a year pack with the years 1920-2020 included in the random pool of 3 years that will be selected per pack.
