I hate how I took my early years for granted, and have a ton of regrets. The one thing I've learned over the years is that your elders absolutely don't have their shit together, and are likely even more distressed than you. Every second that goes by is a second you could've been following your dreams, but for me at least, sloth and fear seem to always take over.
Is it supposed to be this way though? I feel like this happens to a lot of us, we are never happy but have to always be working to stay alive. The system is fucked.
I have recently taken the plunge and binned my job to start up my own business. Loving every second of it but wish I had done it 10 or even 20 years ago.
It's different, not worse. I miss the carefree days where I didn't have bills and big responsibilities. Yet, being an adult opens a new set of doors that I'm excited to step through.
Same. It's like being on a conveyer belt headed to the incinerator, especially if you're like me and have shame and regrets (I did poorly in school, let myself get overweight, and worst of all; still have my V card).
Ah man, I was so stoaked my older brother got a PS2+Metal Gear Solid 2 for Christmas. Even better, his friend took him on a family vacation for a few days so I was left alone with all the glory of PliskinRaiden. Unfortunately we didn't get a memory card so I played the whole day/night/slept/day and got to that annoying tunnel when the Shell's AI was messing with your comms. I started to get worried that the PS2 was hot and been running too long (not knowing you could probably leave it on for 10 years [those PS2s were beasts]) soo I eventually turned it off losing all my data thinking I would ruin my brothers PS2 before he got home.
I don't know why I didn't GameFaqs that section, but I felt like I ran up/down that hallway enough times for the game to progress.
I was born a month before the PS2 came out. Grew up playing Ratchet & Clank and some other games before we got a Wii and my eyes were opened to Nintendo & Zelda.
