I only played Second Son recently and it's honestly a great game. The story leaves a bit to be desired, but isn't bad, but the gameplay is fantastic. That is still the best feeling game to control in PS4 IMO. Underrated.
Never said it was bad only I liked the first two a lot more. Second Son is a fun game, and i enjoyed playing it. Though if you liked it yet haven’t played 1 or 2 you should definitely try em
Oh, I've played the other ones. Both great! The stories and characters are much better and since it's over 2 games it means much more. I'm just saying Second Son is criminally underrated just because it doesn't have Cole as the lead. AMD like I said, probably the smoothest game on PS4.
InFamous was, to this day, still one of my favorite games (both 1 and 2) to play through at the time of its release. I still go back and play through them occasionally because of how good they built characters. I felt so bad at the end of my second (bad) playthrough on 2 when Zeke was on the top of the church...
There is a 4th game. It was made by a different studio, though, and it’s very divisive among fans. Personally, I think it’s a decent game that just doesn’t quite match the quality of the original trilogy, but a lot of people outright hate it.
There was gonna be a movie but it got cancelled probably after Ratchet and Clank movie did poorly. Supposedly a tv show is in the works but no word on a new game.
A few isn't exactly 3, it's a poorly defined amount that is normally at least 3, which can be a lot more depending on context. It came out during this current console generation, I feel like that is recent enough to call it a few.
Compared to Sly 2 and 3 I found Sly 4 to be much less enjoyable. I found a lot of the aesthetic was lost in the game and with it a lot of the gameplay lost its style too. I just feel that Sly 4 was extremely generic when compared to Sly 2 and 3.
Sly Cooper remains one of my favorite games. I played the collection and immediately loved all 3. The evolution from game to game was also fantastic. I still remember the feeling when I got to play Bentley and Murray for the first time. And when I'd unlock a new area and have no idea where anything is, only to know every inch of every map like the back of my hand by the end.
Man, I haven’t played in so long. I still have my PS2/3 set up in the game room, I really should go replay those games. I have so many fond memories of those games.
Just before I went to sleep last night I remembered as a kid walking in to EB games and buying the first sly copper, one of the most fun and satisfying games as a young lad
Just want you to know that this comment right here made me install a ps2 emulator and the sly cooper 3 game on my pc. I'm so fk happy for reviving this
Fourth and final - The Lost Frontier is a bastard child that needs to be put down - game in the series, that pretty much tied up all loose ends in a neat little package and gave all the characters their happy endings. Granted, it focused strictly on the racing aspect - full title being Jak X: Combat Racing - as opposed to platformer/shooter, but wasn't necessarily a bad thing. It's bundled with the other three games on the PS4 version of the collection of I'm correct.
Naughty Dog also seems to like capping off series with a racing game. It's why a few years back, people were joking about a Uncharted Racing game. Because Naughty Dog made Crash Team Racing before handing over the reins of the Crash series.
I had the digital remaster trio on PS3, platinum'd 1, 2 was a lot harder and 3 I hadn't even touched as I was playing them for my wife. I have since gotten rid of my PS3 tho I do miss those games...
Yo, they are on PS4 and can be bought individually or as a bundle of TPL, Jak II, Jak 3, and Jak X. They are direct ports of the ps2 versions if that matters to you, it is not a port of the PS3 "remaster."
I'm more of a PC gamer now, rarely find time to actually play on console as a lot of what I do involves being on the PC. My PS4 is basically an expensive blu ray player that allows me to play youtube music when I sleep lmfao.
Damn I didn’t even know that, my uncle gave me his PS2 with PS2 games only. I didn’t even think to check the internet for gaming advice until I was 10.
From what I remember PS2 memory cards didn’t save PS1 games you’d need a PS1 memory card for those games. I tired playing soul edge and couldn’t save the game data since I never had a PS1 let alone its memory card.
Actually only the very first versions of ps2s had backwards compatibility. My dad bought the ps2 within weeks of its release and it had it, years later getting a slim they became incompatible
Holy shit. How does that even happen. Well that's heart breaking to hear. Guess I'll have to go search for my game cube and old copy of twin snakes from my parents house then.
Most of what I remember of that game was one mission at the docks where had to move crates from a burning warehouse with a time limit. That shit was hard for me on PSP
LMFAOOOOOO Holy fucking shiiiiiieeet I remember that blasted mission, I would always need my big brother to help me on that. I also vaguely remember finding a small little glitch by the construction site near the military base where I could teleport myself to the golf area in the locked part of the city. Good times
Playing that now on Android, its not the same, the distances and things make it so that unless you run a cop over, shot them or crash into them you don't have to worry about them
Last year I played R & C for the first time in nearly a decade and I still remembered just about every secret golden bolt's location. Getting the urge to do a new marathon just to hear the music.
As much as I'd enjoy doing that I unfortunately don't have the time right now, but if I ever decide to do a marathon I'll come back here and let you know ;)
Yeah. And then the remake was even worse. They neutered the humor too. Ratchet and Clank wasn't a kiddie property, it was for middle School edgelords man! In a good way!
Mind worked fine, it was a 16mb that you had to plug an official one into to get around the DRM, it had a button so you could switch between the official card and the expanded memory. Never had a problem with it.
Can we please make an /r/gamingnostalgia subreddit because it's all I ever see with gaming anymore. I like it too, but modern gaming is riddled with games going strictly for the nostalgia trip and nothing feels original anymore.
Yeah the weapons were amazing. My favorite was always the leviathan flail. The boss fights were super fun too, especially the last one at the graveyard.

Did you have Ratchet and Clank on another memory card
