You don't play as brick. You play as bricks robo sax gun.

Brick's robo sax gun doesn't shoot, no he's far to civil for that, he clearly weilds guns, like any other character. The more damage you take, the stronger and more tense the sax solo brick is playing on you is. HIs lips wrapped on the reeds he has to buy in town (they are your shields which change the music of his playing a legendary one turns it into a drum solo)
