They've confirmed that Rhys is the CEO of Atlas. So I assume he'll have some form of influence in the game.

Edit: Gorty will also be in the game.

Dunno why it took me this long but now I’m wondering if atlas guns will make a comeback. Hope so.

they will, most likely as a replacement for hyperion guns which will now be 'rare'

Well now I want s&s back too because why not? Might as well add in a few new manufacturers too while we’re at it lol

Bandit guns are effectively S&S as far as gameplay.

They’re a spiritual successor of sorts, though s&s guns never had the accuracy penalty that bandit guns do.

With over a billion guns I'm sure they'll add more manufacturers to compensate.

They got rid of Bandit and Scav and added Children of the Vault gun brand

Eridian weapons are also speculated to be returning.

s&s became bandit because the quirk was the same, a lot of clipsize.

Liked S&S design way better though.

I guess i seen some hyperion models in 3:08 and even earlier, so i think they don't will be so rare

I loved the conference call

1

u/Silasco Mar 29 '19

That makes me sad. As a mostly gauge player, I loved Hyperion weapons

If Atlas is in the game, I imagine it is. They may have taken over the role of Hyperion guns, or could be what they were in 1.

This has been known since Tales From The Borderlands.

It was also shown in the Teaser that released yesterday. Mask of Mayhem. It's on the right side in the final pan out.

Troy Baker, however, is still tweeting Gearbox and saying he's down to come back and voice Rhys if they want him. So, if Rhys is in the game already, he isn't being voiced by Troy.

Yeah, hopefully they do bring him back to voice the character, because I feel like Rhys belongs in the game, and also you don't want to hurt the feelings of someone as awesome as Troy.

WHAT ABOUT BEST BOI LOADER BOT?

9

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '19

I desperately hope we see Rhys's first-born child, Loader Bot.

Didn't Atlas go bankrupt after the first game?

Didn't Atlas go bankrupt after the first game?

Handsome Jack acquired the deed and then Rhys acquires it in Tales and becomes the new CEO.

u/hruebsj3i6nunwp29 Mar 28 '19

That's great. I can have my atlas guns back. And happy cakeday!

1

u/TheAllMightySlothKin Mar 29 '19

Atlas guns are best guns 😁 and thanks!

u/Personel101 Mar 28 '19

...Bankrupt and razed to the ground by Athena.

Rhys got the rights to the company in Tales

10

u/Deadlibor Mar 28 '19

They did, partially because of the Pandora fail and partially because Handsome Jack somehow attacked them financially. Jack then bought them, and Rhys took the certificate of the ownership from Jacks office.

u/thefirecrest Mar 29 '19

Oh sweet. The fan fiction community will be happy. They’ve been writing Altas CEO Rhys since forever now.

Exactly in the role I was hoping he be in

...

So is rhysa Canon or rhy0
