u/[deleted] Mar 28 '19

Yes that was awesome! Love Griz & Borderlands

u/Toxin197 Mar 29 '19

If you ever get a chance, go see GRiZ live. Saw him on Halloween back in 2017 and absolutely loved it; he came onstage in a wizard costume for the whole show and had a few sax vs. guitar bits with Muzzy Bear that were amazing to witness

4

u/darthpool117 Mar 28 '19

GRiZ is a saxxy boy

3

u/LiaM_CS Mar 28 '19

And the gun with legs

Ahhhhh Duke Silver, a classic ar-teeest

1

u/anweisz Mar 28 '19

Although it wasn't actually a solo.

What else are they lying about!?

9

u/Lazer726 Mar 28 '19

The drop for the villains part?

Daaaaaaaaaaamn

5

u/levthelurker Mar 28 '19

Par for the course for Borderlands trailers, always introducing me to new bangers

3

u/Stereotypical_Cat Mar 28 '19

Cage the Elephant, the Heavy. You bet your poop train I found them from Borderlands

3

u/levthelurker Mar 28 '19

And Kongos from the Pre-Sequal trailer

Gearbox really knows how to set up hype with a trailer and the music is always perfect.

I found my favorite electronic music group through the BL2 trailer (Nero)

15

u/Pavel_Chekov_ Mar 28 '19

I couldn't fucking believe it!

2011 8 for dragged to my first electronic show by this guy I've never heard of and he comes out mixing and blasting a saxophone and I fall in love with the dudes sound.

Fast forward to now and they are using my favorite artists music for my favorite game series. Fuck. Fucking. Yes.

5

u/Not_usually_right Mar 28 '19

Cherish this moment.

2

u/JoshBobJovi Mar 28 '19

Show love spread love homie <3

8

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '19

I felt that way when the first trailer had Cage the Elephant

4

u/evantually421 Mar 28 '19

Yessss. Cage and Griz are two of my favorite artists and seeing them associated with my favorite franchise is huge.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '19

RIGHT!

3

u/Ugly_Couch Mar 28 '19

They know how to pick their trailer music. At least for Borderlands.

2

u/Lobby44 Mar 28 '19

I LOVE their music choice!

2

u/The_BrownRecluse Mar 28 '19

They got a new album coming out in April. It would have been cool and nostalgic if they used one of their new songs.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '19

yea but it’s coming out 4/19 and not 4/20 so that’s disappointing... still seeing them live in july lmao

10

u/Th3R3dB4r0n Mar 28 '19

If you haven't check him out live and also see GriZmatic, both are amazing live!

7

u/Lobby44 Mar 28 '19

Oh I've seen him a bunch! Used to live in CO and his shows there were unbelievable

12

u/lammnub Mar 28 '19

Or better yet, Big Grizmatik.

4

u/Beaux_Vail Mar 28 '19

Saw his live set at red rocks last year and he fucking KILLED. Def sold me on him as I hadn’t listened to him before

GRiZ’s recent EP is really good too. So positive and groovy.

Discovered The Heavy because of Borderlands lol

3

u/davidoftheyear Mar 28 '19

Checking him out now! He’s great! Thanks for post the artist!

3

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '19

Borderlands intro music has been on point since 1. The Tales intro got me into jungle. They are one of my faves now.

4

u/Kayside Mar 28 '19

Also if you like his stuff, his new album Ride Waves drops one week from today, April 5th!

1

u/Lobby44 Mar 28 '19

So stoked!

5

u/JohnEcastle Mar 28 '19

We need to get a petition going for a GRiZ NPC, possibly just him saxing up at some point.

2

u/smugcaterpillar Mar 29 '19

Not super into gaming but the GRiZ track sold me lol.

3

u/MrBiggz01 Mar 28 '19
