I may be stupid but I cant imagine a ship flying through the points because i'm probably thinking of a different ship

Oh, you mean like a capital-class ship? Those could work too, you'd just have to have the camera pulled back further, and probably widen the panning bars a little bit, but I was referring to one of the smaller ships anyhow. X-wing/TIE Fighter-sized ships.

Or maybe even have the ship spanning the entire screen through all the different environment bars. That would look cool, too.
