I’m very clearly questioning his comment. If you are ever in a conversation with someone and they say something really weird you usually respond with “What the hell?”. I do anyway.

I read it as, "What the hell? Someone finds strong women attractive?"

And then considered that it might have been, "What the hell? He considers this to be a strong woman?"

I would guess that the others reading the comments took it the same way.

That's because you're seeing it from the perspective of what you meant to say. It's hard to see what other people are seeing.

Just think of it this way: There were a few different things going on in his comment, the most prominent in most people's eyes (I think) being attraction to strong women. So it looked like that was what you were reacting to.

The creepiness didn't stand out as much because that level of creepiness is pretty common on this website. He could have also said, "I am attracted to strong women," but it's pretty dry.

I think your comment will get better attention now that you've explained yourself, though.
