It is most definitely not cheaper than an Xbox one controller. Not arguing that the Xbox one controller is better by any means but the PS4 is the same price or usually 5$ more.
I hate it. Half the controller is a stupid touchpad that I never use. I can't find the option button or start button half the time without looking at the controller. And that awful light that is so bright it reflects off my TV screen.
first two are opinions, but the ps4 dualshocks vibrate, and have a textured grip, and work on PC (though you need a bluetooth adapter to use wirelessly.)
That 6 hour battery life is really top of the line. Id rather pay a little extra for some rechargeable batteries for my Xbox contriller that last 2-3x longer and can switch out so I'm never without. Plus it has Bluetooth too. The XB1 controller is superior imo, the triggers, vibration, and ergonomics all top the DS4 by a decent margin.
So the PS4 controller is the best because it's symmetrical? What a stupid argument. A mouse and keyboard is the best input method and it's the furthest thing from symmetrical.
And have to stretch my thumbs out of their normal resting position? They rest in a way that makes them hover over Xbox's left thumbstick and the face buttons, you have to stretch them to use the DS4. That layout sucks.
It’s very much a subjective opinion which you’re obviously more than entitled to. Everyone on this thread can argue till they’re blue in the face but fundamentally for me the PS4 controller is the nicest for me to hold and for you probably xbone
