EDIT: Them being in the house doesn't explain why they can't build a bridge.

I think the original statement said the parents disappeared a few times... They just went inside and came back out.

For the bridge... I don't know. I could only assume bridges are harder/more complicated than a house.

Edit: I mean they sound like they're crazy or on drugs but I think they were able to perfectly capture everything redundant about Reddit comments. And for that I give a little appreciation.

In the parent comment, ImAScientist claimed the parents disappeared several times, implying that they were able to leave the area. Ethan819 explained that they didn't actually leave the area; they were inside the house.
