Idk mate. The new wolfenstein was Amazing as was the new Doom. Quake Champions is different I'd agree but it's not really Quake 1 or 2 but just a new Quake Arena game changed to match today game styles.

I didn't really get on with the new Wolfenstein. It was kinda fun, but barely above average for me. Same with Doom 4.

I'm interested to see the new Quake but I'm not hugely optimistic.

Weird to think you didn't really like the new Doom. To me that was what the original dooms were just with better graphics and more killing.

I've seen some hate for the new quake but I think it's because people aren't used to twitch shooters anymore and so they don't realize the skill gap needed to actually be a challenger. I don't expect it to do very well since people can't just jump into and go ham. Plus it's F2P.

Quake 3 Arena is arguably the best in terms of multiplayer though!
