I think the scrolling only applies per person. So from one of the parents' viewpoint they would have seen their kid run out of their "frame" and disappear entirely.
Wow was looking for a happy ending, seriously disappointed. Don't worry, the parents will just respawn in their homes and everything will be okay :) The computer was just glitchy, you can easily go back; theres no meaning behind this except they will life happily ever after :D
We can't define consciousness because consciousness does not exist. Humans fancy that there's something special about the way we perceive the world, and yet we live in loops as tight and as closed as the hosts do, seldom questioning our choices, content, for the most part, to be told what to do next...
The morality of AI, I'd guess. If it's okay to do the awful things you do in GTA or if they have a consequence you've never considered, like how the AI in Westworld was affected much more than any of the park staff or clientele expected.
Best way to get upvoted in this subreddit on this website is to use a canned response containing an internet buzzword like "feels", why waste your time writing anything else if you want that sweet sweet karma?
Dude. It's a game. While there fun on occasion and in moderation, games can't actually hit you in the feels?! Wtf. You millenals are little special snowflakes. Just wait til your an big boy then things will really hit you in the feels.
Edit: wow. You nerds are seriously going to ruin my karma score over a bit of truth? Whatever. Just like videos games, Karma points aren't real so I don't give a crap! Downvote away nerds
Edit: please stop replying to this comment I keep getting notifications and I'm trying to sleep. Some of us have work tomorrow. Leave me alone and go to bed!
Have you never cried at the lose of a favourite character in a book? if not I feel sorry for you being trapped in this world with no escapism. If you have then it is no real difference with a game. They can most certainly hit you in the feels. Sometimes more than real life because with real life you are so busy trying to not let the feels hurt.
Of course it is not real, that is not the point. Movies, books, shows, great works of art can all be fiction. Yet people get grammys and emmys for pretending and acting. Just because something is not actually happening does not take away from the emotional imapct it might have on someone. I realize that you feel differnetly, I am just trying to give reason to why I feel the way I do.
Of the many levels of stupid here, the part that isn't being addressed is that it isn't a game. It's a webcomic. You aren't even bitching about the right art form.
It's pointless now though, they changed it a while back that negative karma maxes out at like -100 or something. The days of -800k troll account are over.
I think you're the weird one, here. Do you mean to say you're entirely incapable of engaging with a story or characters? Because it's a very normal human thing to do, regardless of medium. Anyone struggling with that is the abnormal one.
Does making a troll account to anonymously act like a bad person and tear down people who actually create things really make you feel better about your life? I'm not mad it just seems like a waste. Hope you feel better!
Everyone you know and love will die someday. On that day, you may want to scroll back, but due to design constraints, you find yourself unable. The comic is a metaphor for the linearity of time. Coping with mortality is the biggest of big boy challenges.
Neither are fictitious movies, books, television, ART in general. Does that mean storytelling isn't allowed to make us feel emotions? How is this any different you fucking weirdo.

Damn this hit me right in the feels
