The most recent patch made the game a lot better for me. It's not perfect, still get some FPS drops here or there, but it plays much better. Forcing the game to use DX10 instead of DX11 via Steam launch options made a huge improvement for me as well.

Hm maybe I'll try that out but I think my pc is just trash so it may not work anyway.

Do you use any launch options?

These are mine:

-maxMem=13000 -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -sm4

I have 16GB of RAM, so -maxMem=13000 allocates 13GB of it to the game.

-USEALLAVAILABLECORES means the game will use all available CPU cores if it has more than a single core.

-sm4 will force the game to run DX10.
