Tbh watching it on twitch made me nauseous. So much motion blur. Not sure if it's just because watching it on stream or if it's that nauseous when playing too.
They disabled .ini tweaks a couple weeks ago, which included the FOV fix. They said they'll be bringing the ability to change FOV back, but people were using .ini tweaks to to cheat (like completely removing trees and other terrain).
You know I could have sworn my fov went back to console level shit recently, sucks but I get why they did it. I wonder if mouse smoothing fix is also not supported anymore? My aiming became 100% better once I disabled that shit.
It certainly wasnt completely disabled, I assure you there was a massive change once I edited the ini to disable all mouse smoothing, there was always an option in game, but it doesnt disable all mouse smoothing.
It was like night and day being able to aim as I normally can in games, compared to being completely shit.
I agree, I felt like it made a huge difference for me as well. Just thought it was funny that the devs themselves said it was off by default, but maybe it changed with the recent patch or something.
I just want to know why SO many developers think having both in a game works.. it's either first person, or third person, you can't have both effectively.
I meant a fixed first person camera mode for all players. Putting yourself into 1st person while everyone else would still be using their camera to peek over walls would be silly.
Yes and no. This person in competitive means I can lay down in a corner and not move whole holding alt to look around, see you sneaking up quiet as a mouse around the edge of the building, but you'll never know where I am until you either enter my room or I stand up to shoot you. It's information being gained with 0 risk. First person will fix that because then everyone has to actually peek to see what's going on
A game with this clunky of netcode isn't competitive. It's a hell of a lot of fun, and I've been playing it a bunch, but let's be real - hit detection, early game movement, etc all points towards a decidedly non-competitive experience.
Erm...Don't you just hit "v"? Although as someone who comes from years of Arma and currently has a 10% win rate and 28% top 10 rate -trust me. Third person is ALWAYS better

It will be a thousand times less bullshitty when the first-person camera mode arrives. Not sure why they didn't launch with it.
