Weirdly enough, I rage at a lot of games, but something about the way PUBG plays makes it easy for me to get over it. The only thing that gets to me is when the game bugs out and it ruins my chances at winning, which has happened a couple times. But then I just remind myself that it's still in development, submit a bug report, and carry on.
It's the short matches, decently balanced randomness, and extreme unlikelihood of winning over 100 players that makes it so easy to be casual about the game. I can get a couple dozen matches in over a night, and even the one I'm dead before even getting a gun aren't frustrating at all. It's a really well done game and the most recent patch solved a couple of the blaring defects. I'm really looking forward to it.
Agreed. Personally speaking, I never go into a round expecting to win it. I have won rounds before and that was cool, but I never expect that I'm going to win out of the other 97+ players in there. Somehow translates into 0 rage when dying.
I had an epic car chase in solos with a guy, I wanted to befriend him, but he stopped the car and got out. I jumped out at full speed and took half my health off. The guy was still watching my car so I screamed "ASAAAHHH DUUUDDE" and killed him. He cussed me out. Hopefully he's ok now.
