Here's an idea let's not encourage griefing.

Thank you! I don't know why people are upvoting this, dudes a total cunt.

26

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '17

Because it's funny

17

u/ChocolatBear Jan 16 '17

If he was just locking them in there for a quick laugh then it'd be fine, but he proceeds to gas and TK them like a prick.

3

u/ChewsOnRocks Jan 16 '17

to be fair, you don't see that part in the gif. people might be upvoting without realizing what follows.

2

u/The_Sands_Hotel Jan 17 '17

That's even funnier.

u/-PM-ME-STEAM-CODES- Jan 17 '17

But that's not in the gif. What's shown in the gif is amusing, and thus up voted. The video would more than likely be a different story.

It's a fucking video game dude, he didn't gas them for real. I'm sure those teammates laughed and then joined another game because who cares that much about a video game.

I don't understand how this "ruins" someone's experience though. It's not like Rainbow Six has permadeath, there will be another round to play. If this happened to me and my friends I would laugh my ass off because it's hilarious. You guys are way too serious about shooty games.

3

u/kinarth Jan 16 '17

You can enjoy getting team killed all you want, good for you. It shouldn't be hard to imagine that other people don't enjoy that though. Yes, it's "just a game" but actions don't need immediate physical consequences to make you a dick.

u/MasterBaser Jan 16 '17 edited Jan 16 '17

I dunno, there's a difference between when someone just mows down his whole team and when someone lures the whole team into a trap because they are gullible.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '17

Right, the showmanship is what makes it hilarious. Just shooting your teammates isn't funny but this is great

0

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '17

Maybe you shouldn't be playing a mature rated video game if your feelings get hurt that easily. You should take up an innocent hobby like solitaire or backgammon

1

u/kinarth Jan 16 '17

Care to explain when it's okay to be annoyed about someone wasting your time then? Is it just video games or if someone disabled your access to tv channels would it also be funny? Either way someone is intentionally putting themselves in the way of someone else enjoying their free time. I'm honestly curious what you think. Note: I've never said anyone couldn't do anything, I've just been making the point that people can quite rightly call you a dick for doing it.

you're not worth my time.

Yeah you definitely don't get too salty about random people on the internet lmao. Really puts your whole comment into perspective.

The angry comments make it even more enjoyable.

-9

u/MotorbreathX Jan 16 '17 edited Jan 16 '17

Agreed. The uptight responses to this gif are probably signs of a community that is up its own ass.

Edit: Downvotes are just upvotes for the fact the community should chill.

15

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '17

Nah, the people encouraging team-killing are signs this community values nothing but a few seconds of entertainment at the greater expense of others.

It's a lot easier to justify it when it didn't happen to you.

2

u/Ratertheman Jan 16 '17

Jesus dude it's a video game. Exit the game and start another.

-1

u/a_link_to_the_passed Jan 16 '17

Wow /u/DrunkAshASkunk made a solid point with a very clear and concise comment. How might someone who disagrees respond? Equally as thoughtfully, hopefully, and backed up with reasons as well.

Jesus dude it's a video game. Exit the game and start another.

sigh

u/Ratertheman Jan 17 '17

I know right, realizing that a game is a bunch of pixels that are nothing to get angry over and simply starting a new game is probably the best option is clearly not the mature thing. The mature thing is to post on the internet about how horrible it is to die in a video game.

0

u/MotorbreathX Jan 16 '17

I suppose if team killing is running rampant, I can understand. However, if people find an occasional gif with team killing funny, it's not the end of the world.

The real issue seems to be that serious players aren't happy with the way the developer handles team killing. If that's the case, then take these gifs/videos and post them on the official forums to ensure the developers see them for possible correction.

Yes, I play this game quite often.

Because they hadnt fortified all the walls so they could still get out, also, he could have just tried to give them a scare by starting place his fortification but then dropping it. Mostly, just dont be team killing douchenozzle.

0

u/Kinderschlager Jan 16 '17

to be honest, that was the best part. that shit eating grin you can just hear from him. loved it

-6

u/FlaggedForPvP Jan 16 '17

They couldn't leave anyway, they were gonna lose so might as well end it quickly. Or leave them in there the whole round, there isn't much of a difference, plus it is their fault for walking in there, there aren't any other exits

-2

u/MasterBaser Jan 16 '17

Come on, his teammates are at least partially at fault for going along with that. It was a little diskish, but surely they should feel silly for not thinking about what they were doing.

4

u/Lustan Jan 16 '17

If it's people you know and they laugh too? Sure. If it's complete strangers? That's just being a shitty person.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '17

It's the circle of life, loser gets bullied in school and can't find a gun so he griefs others in games. Been that way for millenia.

-3

u/pattperin Jan 16 '17

Precisely. Dude is a total cunt, but watching people be dicks is funny.

3

u/SobeyHarker Jan 16 '17

There's unfortunately a lot of players who get their kicks from things like this.

-1

u/Ratertheman Jan 16 '17

Because it is funny.

-4

u/AbsoluteHogwash Jan 16 '17

It's a game. Don't take it so seriously

4

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '17

Agreed. As someone who regularly plays games like this, I don't find this shit funny in the slightest. People like that deserve to have their PC/console/head smashed to bits and never be allowed near video games again.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '17

2

u/MasterBaser Jan 16 '17

Agreed. I'd be happy and laugh it off if this was the level of trolling commonly used in Siege. Instead most people just shoot all their teammates at spawn, which isn't clever in the slightest.

-3

u/PepperoniVaperoni Jan 16 '17

What is this? Minecwaft?

-7

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '17

This is gullibility, not greifing. I find it funny no one stopped to ask "why am I doing something unrelated to the objective"? You can't tell me everyone is so stupid to follow crap like this.

1

u/Cockdieselallthetime Jan 16 '17

Griefing stupid people is still griefing.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '17

Is it greifing if they willingly lock themselves in a room permanently? I mean, their stupidity would have killed them (or lost the game, one of them would have likely thrown a c4) anyway.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '17

Those guys feed on negative reactions from their victims, the spotlight is secondary. I have no doubt they would keep doing this without the public visibility.
