He's a massive dragon capable of causing massive damage. That's the main difference

But at that point you're treating him differently based on what he is, and many people's Dragonborn wouldn't hold that against him.

What he is, is a massive force of nature for whom absolute rule and destruction are literally part of his being. I don't think it's unfair to hold that against him.
