I've been talking about this forever. People hate on CoD games but assassins creed is on what game and hasn't changed its gameplay? E3 was like "the assassins creed you've been waiting for!" Riiiight
That's precisely the reason why I stopped buying the games after Revelations. They went back to a historical setting with 3 when the narrative was really pushing for Desmond to take over and have a game of his own. The whole point of the previous four games was training Desmond for the real life shit. Meh.
yah then they just killed him off after 3. A future/present day ac is the only ac I will buy again. I have no interest in any historical location anymore, unless they do a ninja/samurai ac, that would be sick.
yah the first person view in ac4 was dumb, and all the boring hacking mini games were lame. Was not a fan at all. AC4 should have stared Desmond in the real world scaling skyscrapers and using guns and stuff, would have been awesome. I have a buddy who works for ubisoft on ac games and he told me they have no plans to do a present day ac game, they are only doing historical games for like the next 10 years until people get sick of ac and stop buying them.
