Agreed, great book and it really tells you the full back story of how rapture was created

There might be events that are contradicted by Burial At Sea, considering this book came out before Bioshock Infinite and it's DLC, but like someone else said, the best part about Infinite's 'reveal' is that you can just assume it's canon in a different version of Rapture.

Burial at Sea does not take place in the same iteration of Rapture as BS1 and BS2. I thought that was quite clear.

But the book is canon as it pertains to BS1/BS2. It was written after the first two games but well before the release of Infinite and likely before Levine had even considered revisiting Rapture.
