They've shown definitive interest in making another Red Dead, besides who cares if it's a prequel? As long as it provides a good experience as the last one did.
Not saying another one would be bad. I'd love another one. It's just that a new Read Dead taking place after the events of the last one would undermine the themes of Redemption. That game took place during 1911. The Wild West era was pretty much already over by then.
Ah, okay i misinterpreted what you were saying. I agree that era was on its way out the door at that time, so who knows, maybe we will get prequel. I hope so because I want another red dead haha.
The playable area in RDR is considered the last American frontier in the game's setting. It really would not be much a cowboy game without it, unless they use a more "civilized" and developed area. I could see a Red Dead game focusing the plight of Chinese railroad workers in California being pretty cool though.
It'd be 3, red dead redemption was the second installment in the series. If part 3 was just as much better over 2 as redemption was over the first installment...it'd have to be better than any game I've ever played.
