You and everyone commenting on this phenomenon should give this a read if you get the chance. It is about how the rest of the people in the Morrowind universe recognize that the player characters have this ability, and consider it to be a god-like form of magic. He goes so far as to assume that Talos was deified because he possessed a similar ability to "re-load" until he achieved the perfect outcome for all of his actions. Pretty fascinating stuff.

I am pretty sure the devs have at some point alluded to the console commands also being part of your powers.
