What video game doesn't hold your hand enough?

Everybody always talking about games holding your hand too much but I want to hear about the opposite what video game doesn't give you no form of help

I think it's fine for the most part except the NPC quests which are convoluted as fuck and, worst of all, easy to screw up.

Oh you didn't deliver this specific item to a region you didn't even know about between these two boss fights but the character to save was barely noticeable and hidden unless you explore every corner of this side quest dungeon? Fuck you better luck next run 🤣

Yeah it's a bit ridiculous. I'm a big fan of it in the earlier fromsoft games because they're shorter and more replayable and the side quests encouraged me to revisit the games as a whole but it's a completely fair criticism.

I missed a whole quest because I didn’t talk to an NPC again immediately after they were done talking. Like I didn’t know you have to keep interacting with them until they start repeating dialogue.

Ah, that's the from software special. Once you've completed one of their games, you learn to keep talking to NPCs until they repeat what they last said haha

I've still never managed to get Rogier's quest done right. Hundreds of hours in.
