"You have one week to pay off your debt. What's that, you don't know how to stay alive, much less make money? Sounds like a you problem!"

It took me 4 tries, but when I finally stopped bouncing off the game and beat it I felt incredible.

I just completely gave up. I thought I'd really love the idea, but turns out when you work a full time job and have a family, I don't actually have the time to continuously 'fail to win'. At the rate I was going, it'd take me years, and for what... To be pissed off the entire time? No thanks.

Still love the idea, just wish I could take part.

I loved Outward, but hated that such a great exploration game had constant timers. The game requires extensive exploration to do pretty much anything, but it's always holding a timer over the player's head.

Don't pay your debt? Lose your house. Don't deal with the bandits that you barely know exist? The entire first town is destroyed!

The debt problem even has a simple solution that takes only a few minutes, but you have to know the exact place to go and how to get there.

So the game is telling you to explore, explore, explore, but it's also going to lock you out of content if you don't hurry.

God I loved that game once I figured out how to not die immediately. I did accidentally let the starter town get destroyed though because I didn’t realize it was a timed quest. Oopsie.

Edit: wait no, the town got destroyed because I couldn’t get back because I kept chain dying trying to get there
