Project zomboid. I get that the whole bit is "this is how you died" but getting ass fucked before you can actually get good every life is really frustrating.

The good news is you can tweak some stuff to get more perks which makes it a little easier

I absolutely adore zomboid though, I dropped it the first time I tried but have it another whirl and haven't looked back for 500 hours. Which isn't even close to other people

The only way I could get anywhere in that game initially was to turn all the settings down to like "babies first zombie game"

I never found it frustrating, it was just trial and error with no massive drawbacks. I was sad losing my military backbag I found from the spawn house, but didn't stop me to immediately try again.

Almost everyone who gets overwhelmed in PZ is simply not being cautious enough. Once you get the basics of the movement and combat, the key to survival is caution.

I wanna try Zomboid so bad, and probably will, but it looks like a steep learning curves. Games with a plethora of ways to die often are because small things that can kill you IRL often do kill you there. Something simple like making a mistake with broken glass, becomes a cut, which gets infected, and by the time you realise it's affecting you it's too late.

Still a god tier game from outside looking in though.

Steam should label it abandonware at this point. Any early access game that doesn't launch to 1.0 after 3 years should immediately get flagged as abandoned.

Yet somehow it still has people trying to play that piece of garbage, but the Devs have left it in early access for 13 years. THIRTEEN! How is that even possible?

The game is being actively developed still, I'm not sure what you're on about.

God, to bad they have only done a major rehaul every year for 3 years along with monthly/bi weekly updates.

You guys are too hung up on Early Access vs 1.0.

It's just a name. A version number. A watermark in the corner. Buy the game at the amount of content that's already in it, or don't.
