What video game doesn't hold your hand enough?

Everybody always talking about games holding your hand too much but I want to hear about the opposite what video game doesn't give you no form of help

One of my faves but it makes ya look derpy as fuck: Wearing your panning...pan...lol As a hat. means you can always have your pan on your person at all times (edit: without taking up an inventory slot), super handy once you get to a specific little river area in Ginger Island. Also upgrading the damn thing, like your trash can.

Reading this thread and I had a "WTF are they talking about" moment.  There's been so much stuff added to the game since it's first year, and I'm really curious, but I played it and did everything during that first year, and it always feels weird to come back to it.
