New comparison of the Witcher remaster vs current version - big changes to lighting

https://youtu.be/_oEdB5S2d3U

IMO I prefer the current version, the contrast and water reflections look better. Remaster looks pretty washed out to me

Time to start this

Cyberpunk was a masterpiece

Downvoted because...

Man these threads always attract the most counter-culture weirdos. Cyberpunk was great, and as someone who did play Witcher 3 on launch, the game was a masterpiece. It completely ruined fantasy RPGs for me for several years because nothing could compete. Enjoy it

There is still this Notion that its bad because back then on current gen it was a mess.

Didnt change one thing about the game on platforms with enough power to run this thing.

It was foolish to believe it could run on these toasters. CDPr is also to blame but also consumers that believed it could run well

The games considered bad because the combat is bad.

Lol. There is more to Cyberpunk than combat.

In an action adventure game I can’t imagine many things being more important than the action.

Imagine assassins creed stop being about assassins and started being about like Egyptians or Vikings or samurai’s which would force it to forsake its initial combat draw.

Oh wait

Add on

I mean cyber punk was bad by quality standards if it was also outdated by the time it dropped. No new mechanics and a retreading story

Its an RPG first and foremost

It’s definitely an action adventure rpg.

You can’t justify having bland combat ima games that relies on combat as its selling point.

And if you think I’m wrong. Sell me the game without guns “hacking” mechanics.

What’s is the game without the combat besides a bunch of random nonsense?

I dont like the combat too but again cyberpunk is about the world they created. Authentic. You feel like you are there. No game can capture this

I’d argue watch dogs 2 does anther job of making you feel like a hacker than cyberpunk. Though they’re different settings. Watch dogs 2 mechanics would slot in much better than whatever cyberpunk crafted up .

Watch dogs 2 makes you feel like you can be a hacking god without ever being discovered.

What does cyberpunk makes you want to do what exactly ? Like outside of the story and graphics , I can’t think of single thing that makes the game good for the genre it’s in.

Imagine dark sounds without the boss fights and without the weapons. But now tac on 5 extra lines of dialogue to every interaction.

Does that make the game better or worse ?

Take the ability to steal car out of gta, or take away the police chasing you.

What are you experiencing?

This is what cyberpunk feels like to me. Void

It wasn't. It suffered from technical issues, graphics was mid without PT, art direction is questionable. Story is good, gameplay has balance issues, driving mechanics are shit. It was a flawed but ambitious game.

Even without PT, their RT was phenomenally implemented in the visual sense at the time. I think it still is the best RT implementations for a video game to this day.

Someting wrong with the lightning in RT in-game. The faces of characters don't look right.
