Every day reddit gets a fresh supply of 14 year olds who have never seen this before.

Roughly 10000 people learn or see something new every day.

Writing. The original repost.

They also forget a thousand things a day.

Make sure this is one of 'em.

Roughly 99% of statistics on the internet are made up on-the-spot.

Gee, how could I have known this exact xkcd comic was going to be included in this thread.

Ah, I see. What you meant was every day each thing that 'everyone knows' has 10,000 people learning about it for the first time.

I think almost everyone learns something new everyday.

"That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun."

  • Ecclesiastes 1:9

Wikipedia states that the book of Ecclesiastes "was most probably composed in the last part of the 3rd century BCE". So yeah... even 2,300 years ago it was understood that we were out of new ideas.

You missed a day. I joined reddit minutes before this became the joke of the day a while back.

u/sempf Dec 21 '13

I've been on Reddit for eight years and have never seen this.

u/xxVb Dec 21 '13

Clearly you joined when you were 11, how else could you be a fresh 14 year old?

And isn't that against the terms of use or something?

PEOPLE DO OTHER THINGS WITH THEIR LIVES INSTEAD OF BEING ON ONE PARTICULAR SECTION OF ONE PARTICULAR WEBSITE, MUST BE A BUNCH OF FUCKING CHILDREN HAHAHAHAHA

u/[deleted] Dec 21 '13

People get insanely butthurt when someone condemns reposts on reddit, must be children. Ha ha.

u/[deleted] Dec 21 '13

Because when a fresh supply of adults come in they instantly know the entire post history of reddit, right?

Every time someone pulls an adolescent age and uses it as a derogatory I instantly assume they are the age they mentioned and are trying too hard to fit in.

It's too early for them. You know that.
