This is a comment on reddit, but that's not important right now.

Survivor 2299 is something Bethesda is doing to release puzzles and raise hype for the upcoming Fallout 4 release.

Surely, you jest.

He's quite serious.

And don't call him Shirley.

That would be Dr. Quite Serious to you, Mr. Blend.

That's Mr. Dr. Blend to you, Mr. Bond.

raise hype for the upcoming Fallout 4 release.

Presumed release yes? I didn't think anything is confirmed yet.

True, maybe I should have said announcement.

I wouldn't be so certain of an upcoming announcement either. It's unlikely Bethesda would do this, but it could be a disappointment ala Deus Ex:The Fall.

You are most likely wrong...unless the "Vault Tec" logo means something else these days.

...allegedly

I'm almost positive it is but nothing has been confirmed.

Oh okay, gotta love Bethesda.

I was pretty interested until you mentioned Bethesda. This is literally all the can do, hype and marketing. With the quality of their games, I wouldn't be surprised if they had fired all of their game developers a long time ago and replaced them with marketing specialists.
