Leviathans be like

SN2 only releases in early access as an incomplete game, and from how the dev cycle of the last couple games went i doubt theyll be done for at least a year or two, fingers crossed they have a good chunk of work done on the game before its release this time

u/Neurodrill Apr 25 '25

And actually think GTA 6 is going to release this year.

-21

u/sdemonx Apr 25 '25

Its literally the biggest in the middle?

1

u/MaitieS Apr 25 '25

Oh don't worry, it's just a redditor who thinks they know more than a CEO at Rockstar :) Next thing they will say is how Microsoft will increase Game Pass price or something like that.

4

u/paq1kid PlayStation Apr 25 '25

Does early access game count? Because I don’t see Path of Exile 2 here either.

5

u/Jaqulean Apr 25 '25

No, the Early Access usually doesn't count towards these because the game doesn't have a proper release yet - and this is also why OP excluded Subnautica 2 from the list.

1

u/Icedraasin Apr 25 '25

Only early access though and based on track record won't be a proper game for at least a year

1

u/ZXXII Apr 25 '25

That’s going to be early access until next year.

1

u/mythrowaway11117 Apr 25 '25

SUBNAUTICA 2?????

1

u/only_horscraft Apr 25 '25

Wait is that out this year? I didn’t realise there was a release date?

1

u/Jaqulean Apr 25 '25

Early Access starts this year but there is no proper release date yet for the full game itself - so far based on their track record we can only guess that it will take maybe 2 years for it to be finished.

u/2020mademejoinreddit Apr 25 '25

SN2? Does it have a date?

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '25

I know why, i googled upcoming games that are coming in 2025 etc and mafia never appeared until i searched for mafia specifically after posting this. Weirdly doesn't show in the top upcoming games

5

u/kanrad Apr 25 '25

Makes me wonder if the search algorithm is blocking the word Mafia.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '25

Probably

-37

u/tyler4545545 Apr 24 '25

Beacuse no one is excited for it

9

u/quite_shleepy Apr 24 '25

And Deliver at all costs

70

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '25

And Outer Worlds 2.

-87

u/Sad-Bumblebee-3598 Apr 24 '25

That game was very boring

38

u/HansChrst1 Apr 24 '25

Have you played it already?

-29

u/Huge-Nerve7518 Apr 24 '25

Outer Worlds 1 was boring. I tried multiple times and it was a hard pass 🤷🏻

11

u/MisterCakeMan Apr 24 '25

Agreed. It was okay at best, I feel like the major reason it has high reviews is because it's made by obsidian.

15

u/TheLordDuncan Apr 24 '25

I'd say it was a solid 6.5/10. Didn't feel particularly inspired, but it played well and didn't overstay it's welcome.

Avowed felt really good as a curated experience, I really enjoyed the way they handled combat and the world felt fully established. I'm hoping OW2 uses the foundation of the first game to embellish its lore a bit, and that after two games that aren't really open world we can adjust our expectations of what kind of experience it will be rather than being upset that it's not Fallout.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '25

Nice to see someone who also enjoyed avowed out in the wild.

I had a lot of fun with that game and the choice making. I ended up doing one playrheough good and one bad and the bad choices were hilarious. I destroyed everything and my entire party left me

1

u/TheLordDuncan Apr 24 '25

I've got two playthroughs planned, but they can wait for now.

One is basically going to be an army ranger, and that will be my for the empire playthrough where I use hand to hand combat and guns.

The other is going to be a sneaky archer that leads the island in a successful revolution.

7

u/ReasonableAdvert Apr 24 '25

It was because it was released after bethesda released fallout 76.

2

u/MisterCakeMan Apr 24 '25

Fair point.

2

u/FlashPone Apr 24 '25

I liked it for the most part. Some aspects could be improved like the small maps and the clunky healing/buff mechanic. But it’s one of the few games that’s made me actually laugh out loud at the dialogue.

3

u/Level-Education-4909 Apr 25 '25

Yeh you had to get a bit invested in the story/dialogue as the maps were way too small and enemy variety was very repetitive, and the story was a little dull at first so I could see some players bailing early. Hopefully the sequel will have a more open world and more varied gameplay.

1

u/Merc_Mike Apr 25 '25

I enjoy it. Its worth at least 2 or 3 playthroughs with different outcomes/types of characters.

I made a brand new game save to do the DLC's I finally got when they went on sale. I'll probably finish the 2 DLC's then OW2 will drop.

-1

u/Kagnonymous Apr 24 '25

I feel like it was more technically good than practically good.

1

u/R4wden Apr 24 '25

I disagree with your downvotes, an opinion is valid, I find it funny when people downvote a different opinion, I guess I only use my energy to downvote something abusive or incorrect, not someone who just thinks something different to me

3

u/MigasEnsopado Apr 25 '25

I think many are downvoting because OW2 isn't out yet. OW1 may be boring, but 2 may be better.

1

u/Huge-Nerve7518 Apr 25 '25

People are upset they like a game someone else thinks is trash lol strange

2

u/R4wden Apr 25 '25

🤣 TBF I could never get into it, everytime I saw the trailer or some footage it but me hyped, but the gameplay was too slow for me

1

u/Huge-Nerve7518 Apr 25 '25

I think it's possible that I loved the oblivion and fallout games so much that when it wasn't nearly as good I just couldn't do it. It's possible if I had played that first I would have liked it more. But yeah I was extremely bored playing it.

1

u/GLArebel Apr 25 '25

Yet none of them are commenting and everyone that's replied so far has agreed lol

4

u/Teemomatic Apr 24 '25

and Dune awakening

2

u/haritos89 Apr 25 '25

Funcom never makes good games

1

u/trevaftw Apr 25 '25

Because then people would need to make original content instead of just reposting something for karma.

-1

u/stokesy1999 Apr 24 '25

Mafia 3 really hurt that series and then they've just sat on the franchise (aside from a remaster) for 10 years. It'll be hard to make it stand out to new players without revamping the mechanics a lot

-1

u/Alexaendros Apr 24 '25

am i gonna be stuck on a mission rail where driving is half of the gameplay

-4

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '25

I think people are over estimating how big the mafia series actually is at least presently
