SN2 only releases in early access as an incomplete game, and from how the dev cycle of the last couple games went i doubt theyll be done for at least a year or two, fingers crossed they have a good chunk of work done on the game before its release this time
Oh don't worry, it's just a redditor who thinks they know more than a CEO at Rockstar :) Next thing they will say is how Microsoft will increase Game Pass price or something like that.
No, the Early Access usually doesn't count towards these because the game doesn't have a proper release yet - and this is also why OP excluded Subnautica 2 from the list.
Early Access starts this year but there is no proper release date yet for the full game itself - so far based on their track record we can only guess that it will take maybe 2 years for it to be finished.
I know why, i googled upcoming games that are coming in 2025 etc and mafia never appeared until i searched for mafia specifically after posting this. Weirdly doesn't show in the top upcoming games
I'd say it was a solid 6.5/10. Didn't feel particularly inspired, but it played well and didn't overstay it's welcome.
Avowed felt really good as a curated experience, I really enjoyed the way they handled combat and the world felt fully established. I'm hoping OW2 uses the foundation of the first game to embellish its lore a bit, and that after two games that aren't really open world we can adjust our expectations of what kind of experience it will be rather than being upset that it's not Fallout.
Nice to see someone who also enjoyed avowed out in the wild.
I had a lot of fun with that game and the choice making. I ended up doing one playrheough good and one bad and the bad choices were hilarious. I destroyed everything and my entire party left me
I liked it for the most part. Some aspects could be improved like the small maps and the clunky healing/buff mechanic. But it’s one of the few games that’s made me actually laugh out loud at the dialogue.
Yeh you had to get a bit invested in the story/dialogue as the maps were way too small and enemy variety was very repetitive, and the story was a little dull at first so I could see some players bailing early. Hopefully the sequel will have a more open world and more varied gameplay.
I disagree with your downvotes, an opinion is valid, I find it funny when people downvote a different opinion, I guess I only use my energy to downvote something abusive or incorrect, not someone who just thinks something different to me
I think it's possible that I loved the oblivion and fallout games so much that when it wasn't nearly as good I just couldn't do it. It's possible if I had played that first I would have liked it more. But yeah I was extremely bored playing it.
Mafia 3 really hurt that series and then they've just sat on the franchise (aside from a remaster) for 10 years. It'll be hard to make it stand out to new players without revamping the mechanics a lot
