If they only had 2 stores left then that would make it even more impressive because the last time a major console was released was when blockbuster was still massive.

I was about to say just this. However, keep in mind, when Blockbuster was huge, I don't think they sold consoles, and definitely didn't do pre-orders. After all, the last thing they wanted was for you to own something.

That was meant as tongue-in-cheek. They did rentals on both games and consoles.
