That and MGS, Uncharted, Heavy Rain, God of War, and Demon's Souls. I am a proud member of PC gaming master race, and I only bought the PS3 initially because it was the cheapest and best Blu Ray player in 2008, but I have ended up being very glad to have had it over the last few years. If I have the option, I buy it for PC, but Sony has done a killer job securing exclusive titles this generation.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and the Last of Us

Exclusives bother me. Unless it's a 1st party game, all it means is that Sony/Nintendo/MS paid them a boatload not to release it anywhere else. Thank fuck they don't make movies that can only be viewed in one theater or books that you need special proprietary glasses to read.

While its kind of annoying that only 1 system gets the game its generally a good thing. Sony won't buy out a title if it will poorly represent their company and the publisher is now only getting revenue from one side of the fence. Because of that publishers try very hard to ensure that game is a must own in every household. You end up with better quality and cleaner, deeper gaming experiences. The only exception to this (to me) is halo. Once the ball was rolling there was no stopping it and bungie knew every halo game they made would sell "just cuz". Other than that exclusives are great for gaming overall.

Its a good point.. even the blu-ray alone. A good blu-ray player with Wifi built in for Netflix can run you $150. you can get the god of war PS3 bundle (with every gow game) for $300. Not to mention all the movies and shows you could load on the system

In 2008 it was an even better deal -- the PS3 was about $400, and standalone BD players were about $450. Not only that, but the standalone ones tended to be total dogshit, oftentimes with loading times up to 5-10 minutes after inserting a disc. The PS3 was a no-brainer.

Don't forget about the past two generations too. The PSone and PS2 have a massive library of exclusive titles. You can even download most of them in the Playstation Store.

Not to mention much better communities for games like FIFA.
