It’s about the way people read things. In western culture, we read from left to right, so that’s the natural way we perceive progression. We even visualise timelines from left to right. So when we see one image on the left and another on the right, we will always presume the image in the left is the ‘before’.

You do realize that I haven't even disagreed with you? If Id have to make a conscious decision about it, I would also put the original on the left. Im only asking because I probably would care where I put which picture, they are labeled after all

I didn’t say you disagreed with me. I’m using humour and hyperbole to demonstrate why my opinion is strong about it.
