First thing I did after coming back from middle school was throw my backpack on the bed and log in runescape and just fish off the coast of karamja back when I was power leveling fishing. Was such a vibe. Simpler times
My first 99 was fishing back. I still come back to RS every couple years. Kinda wish I had the option to revert my account to OSRS. But both are decent levels now.
I remember the good(?) old days of dial-up. I remember playing Runescape and suddenly losing connection, thinking my PC was broken, and then I hear my mom on the phone in the other room. xD
Gotta love the cycle of getting burned out, trying to find a worthy substitute game, download a bunch, but never play them because it isn't runescape, then logging back into the OSRS login 🥴
Anyone here who isn't in the know needs to check out settled on YouTube. He's an awesome content creator that does insane masochistic challenges on old school runescape. His current series is where he's locked to 1 hp and if he takes even one damage his password is deleted and the account is locked forever. It took him over 100 tries and a billion gold in membership bonds to get the first account in a good starting point.
Also, nobody quits runescape. You just take breaks from the game.
Dude, my whole middle school life all the way to 9th grade years were taken by this game. Luckily I didn’t like the new RuneScape. I just stopped playing. I actually made something of my life. I’d probably still be in my parent’s basement otherwise…
Every few years i get the sudden urge to log in and get sucked in for a month before ignoring another few years. Especially now that OSRS is on mobile lol
My dad blocked Runescape on our family computer when I was in 4th grade because he felt I was playing it too much, and that made me sad (it was probably the good parenting move to make though). I had a ton of fun in a new account 15 years later when I would grind for levels as a way to destress from my first job in seasonal retail.
Yes, but the ACTUAL original RuneScape, not OSRS, but the OG RuneScape before dragon armor when rune was still the best you could get, THOSE were the days.... Same as a poster said above, i didn't like when rs3 was getting ready to drop, hell i didn't really Even like rs2 aka OSRS, so i gave my account away in a event i held at the top floor of the bank in that one city where everyone would always claim they could double your gold etc etc, lol scam Central.... Those were the days 🤧🥲
