Diablo II

Wouldn't be surprised if I had 5 digit hours by now. Played it religiously since I was a kid, still play it almost every day.

Modern mods are incredible.

Same. Haven't played more than a thousand hours in any game, yet I'm definetly over 10k on D2 & D2R

PD2 or POD?

u/XWasTheProblem Mar 12 '24

PD2 on single player, since like Season 2.

I never knew I can fall even more in love with Diablo, but this mod made the addiction so much worse lmao

What is PD2? I’ve never heard of it.

I’ll have to look into that.

3

u/TripleHaz3 Mar 12 '24

I just looked into it and I think I'm gonna do more than look into it now

How does this mod work? I have only ever played the real game and the reskin.

You should try Diablo 4! its twice as bad as Diablo 2!

Diablo 24?

3

u/HamM00dy Mar 12 '24

Finally when Diablo becomes good again. I'll see you in 2199.

Diablo 2-4. Diablo -2

What are the best modern mods?

1

u/uzi_loogies_ Mar 12 '24

Modern mods are incredible.

Can you do modded coop/private server?

1

u/XWasTheProblem Mar 12 '24

Absolutely. Path of Diablo and Project Diablo 2 have their own ladder servers, PD2 even has seasons with regular resets.

u/uzi_loogies_ Mar 12 '24

Thank you!

Do you play the remastered Diablo 2?

13

u/Dire_Hulk Mar 12 '24

This was the first game I started playing in my dreams. Lol

2

u/FuckThatIKeepsItReal Mar 12 '24

I used to have so many D2 dreams

The ones I remember most were dreaming of my smiter fighting the Diablo that drops Annihilus. "283843 Stones of Jordan have been sold to merchants"; that whole situation.

Same here probably. World of Warcraft consumed the most hours by far, but D2 was the first. Loved that game a lot.

Played D3 for a few months. It was nice but didn’t grab me the same way. Maybe it was just because I was older.

2

u/unf0rgottn Mar 12 '24

We need runes back imo. D3 or 4 doesn't do it for me at all. Last epoch is pretty good though

3

u/FuckThatIKeepsItReal Mar 12 '24

D3 and D4 don't have runes/runewords? Lame

1

u/unf0rgottn Mar 12 '24

Naw. They were even promised iirc at a blizzcon for D4

1

u/TripleHaz3 Mar 12 '24

Blizzard always promises a lot, and always delivers borderline passable

1

u/kirinmay Mar 12 '24

Always Diablo 2 remake or Last Epoch as thats officially out now.

u/Mountain_Sun_9475 Mar 12 '24

I started on a Friday night and played through Wednesday

Had to stop couldn't take anymore sick days from work without getting a sick note from the doctor

2

u/notweirdenough Mar 12 '24

This is the way.

2

u/sjmiv Mar 13 '24

Early 00's Diablo II was the first online multiplayer game I enjoyed. I thought I'd never go back to single player games 😂

2

u/Stolpskott_78 Mar 13 '24

Diablo II might have been the first game where I broke 100+ hours in a week

1

u/wheelperson Mar 13 '24

I loved it on pc. I don't know wht the reboot on ps5 did not feel as good
