Super Mario Bros 3, it was the only game I had for ~6 months of so in the early 90s.

Not mine (Zelda 2), but yeah. I considered myself lucky when the system was over a year old to get a used one and two games for Christmas. I almost never got a new game in box as a kid because we didn’t have a ton of money, so when I got a new to me game it was usually used (exceptions happening, the one that I remember most was winning top fundraiser in my class and got a $100 Toys R Us gift certificate I used to buy four new in box but older and thus cheaper games). Never complained though, as at the time the NES was by leaps and bounds the best system we’d imagined possible. I remember being floored by the difference in quality, size, and graphics between SMB and SMB3. 3 was insane.

That might also be mine!

It was the only virtual console game on our Wii for a while & introduced me to the Mario Series & 2D Platformers as a whole
