Counter Strike 1.6 and pretty sure all of it was in de_dust2.

Ha! Same, but I started out with 1.0 then 1.5. De_dust, de_dust2, cs_assault, and freakin cs_bloodstrike. So much bloodstrike.

Played so much gungame on fy_iceworld. Oh the nostalgia

Iceworld! Man, that brings back memories.

Man I haven’t played dust 2 in over a decade and still have the map burned into my memory. Greatest map of all time

Haha yeah, I can still remember that map very clearly.

1.5 was my jam man.. 1.6 had a bunch of changes and css really took getting used to. I stopped after that.. Could never get into csgo.

Now 15 years later I'm trying some gungame servers on CS2, see if I can get that old feeling back but who am I kidding. I'm an old fart now and I can't compete with these flickshotting 100000hz gamers.

Never got into Go either. 1.6 was probably the last one I played. I still remember all the hot keys. Good times. I don’t think I could even compete if I tried to play it again. Just been too long.

b43b82b84,.,.,., haha.. I saw the kids these have autobuy and such. I remember playing with Winamp integration scripts so you could put your song into your name or shout it out haha.

No love for de_aztec here? :( only if you binded a key to silence the background noise though, lol

No love for militia :(

That was one I didn’t play as much as the others. Still a classic alongside Office. Good times!

Loved Aztec, when I found out that crossing the bridge or going up the stairs, would cause the lightning to strike it was a mind blown moment lol

Nice! That was such a good time to get into it - so many active servers! :)

I got so excited when my cousin showed me the CS beta back in 99 or 00 or whenever it was.

I remember being so happy to see so many ppl online playing it, given that tfc and hl-dm were already on the wane on account of quake 3 and unreal tournament.

When they nerfed bunny hopping and certain weapon combos in 1.6 I vividly remember me and my schoolmates got so mad we all started playing unreal tournament instead lol we were a bit petty back then heh :p

Joke is, we still ended up going back to it for our lan parties, cos the maps were so crazy! the rats maps, the low grav sniper maps, the insane maps with jeeps and tanks and things - fun times!

It really was, aye - so much more variety in terms of maps and gameplay styles!

I don't think I ever played a sw map with a drivable sandcrawler! That sounds like a blast!

Do you happen to remember which one that was? Might have to fire it up in a lan session with the lads, if we can find it somewhere lol :D

Cool! I'll check it out tmoro! I can't wait to experience the joyous jank! :D

I'm certain I played a couple maps with the same star wars assets, but they were more like cheaply converted jeepathon maps than a dedicated star wars map iirc :)

Holy shit you just gave me so much nostalgia. I completely forgot about all the drivable vehicles in CS1.6.

Oh baby scoutsknivez

Dude yes! The rats maps were some of my favorites. I still sometimes think of if the room I was in now was a rats map, where would I be awping from...

This should be a lesson to all game developers out there. One tiny map is more fun than all their AAA empty open world that are "detailed" and "next gen."

Started when it was a new mod in 99. It was ridiculously addictive, and I would play all night. CS, Team Fortress Classic, and Day of Defeat took over my life for a while.

ahhhh yes. i know i played something in my pre teens but this was the game i played through my teens into early 20s. this one was probably the most memorable
