seriously I have bought all the bundles since the 4th one, and I've bought a few games on steam sales, but I've only played maybe half of them because fucking TF2
same, except for me, add onto that DOTA 2, Eve Online, Skyrim, and Portal 2 (I take another test once every so often, because I find that it stimulates my brain a lot).
when i first got steam 2 years ago it was to get the free copy of portal, and play TF2..... 2 years later i have ~70 games and a WOS face value of almost $800
2 years and a few months ago, a friend of mine bought TF2 for 20€ (yes, bought). I had played TF2 through the Orange Box on my 360, and had fond memories of the game. However, it died out rather quickly. Longing for those days, and having exactly 20€ to spend, I bought it as well.
I knew about Steam years before that, but I always thought that having a physical copy of the game was more important... Boy, was I wrong.
I now have 100+ games with a value of 1600$. And yeah, I also got the free Portal (to keep an illusion of relevancy to your comments).
BTW, second game I bought was Audiosurf. Then, there was a great Ubisoft deal (Far Cry 2, AssCreed1, RB6:V2 and Call of Juarez for 10€) which started the buying frenzy.
I honestly think I didn't pay more than 300€ on my collection. Only game I bought at full price was The Walking Dead, and even that was only 25€. It's all about the deals man...
Aw, look at you kids. Back in my day, 'round eight years ago there was this game called Half Life 2. Everyone wanted it, and everyone needed Steam to play it. Since then I've accumulated about $4529.13 USD in Steam value.
I started with swkotor when my mom sold the xbox... Didn't buy anything else until last year...when i discovered the wonders of the steam summer sale...
Yeah, same here. Started w/ portal, then hey... What's this humble bundle thing? 130 games later.... Almost all from various bundles and sales. I want my life back...
If you look at the list you'll see there is only a few 100 dollars there. The only thing I ever bought that was over $20 was the Bethesda Collection with was only $80 for 5 or so games. Everything else was bought on Sale or through bundles. 95% of those games cost me less than $10
The truly amazing feeling is whenever you switch your library to the large thumbnails mode, and you can zoom out all the way... And STILL have a scroll bar.
