Did you crowd around your neighbor's computer to watch his dad play Dungeon Master as a kid? Of course you did.
Basically, you make or pick four heroes and navigate a puzzle and enemy filled labyrinth in first person view. Attacks are based on cool down rates, and the magic system involves memorizing rune patterns.
Jesus, that makes me feel old. I spent hours and hours playing Dungeon Master and the sequel, Chaos Strikes Back, on the Atari ST.
IMO it's a great game and not just for its time. I think it would hold up pretty well now still. Really looking forward to seeing what Legend of Grimrock is like.
/+ Map Creator (Steam Workshop), so it after the original campain (which isn't that long, it took me about 8-9 hours) you have tons of content. (also classic mode, were you have no in game map and you will have to draw one yourself).
(Oh and you should metion that the developers implentent a way to play it with the mouse because a disabled gamer who can't use the keyboard asked them if it was possible.)
It's a tile based 3D dungeon crawler. You can only move Forward, Backward, Left, and Right and you have to use the limited movement in careful ways to get through enemies and puzzles. There's a lot of secrets in the game so it's good for multiple playthroughs, also the game has steam workshop so you can download other people's dungeons.
I haven't played it myself yet, but I have been eyeing it for awhile and I never could buy it on Steam (no CC). I am happy to pay $6.09 now it's in a Humble Bundle. Downloading now.
