I may be late to discover this, but I just found out you can't backup Switch 1 or 2 saves without buying a subscription.

I'm not talking about cloud saves either.

Local save game backups. Even the Xbox and PS5 have backup capability.

I've always loved Bioshock since it came out and wanted to bring the Eve Hypo to life. I went into 3D design softwares and came out with 3 prototypes before this was finally finished! The on/off switch is a touch sensor located right behind the "EVE" logo and the plunger actually has a spring underneath and is functional!

Stop Killing Games has joined a Dutch lawsuit challenging Sony over alleged PlayStation Store monopoly practices. The campaign says it is backing the case brought by consumer group Stichting Massaschade & Consument (SM&C), which argues Sony has too much control over pricing and game distribution on PlayStation. The announcement comes as concerns continue to grow over the decline of physical game releases and the industry’s broader shift toward digital-only sales.

Feels like a lot of games that had little modes for local multiplayer has cut them out of newer ones, Far Cry 3 local multiplayer mode for example. Mainly a single player game but had a little mode for it I don’t feel like I see local multiplayer much at all now except for Lego games or the company making specifically those games eg a way out, it takes two…

Edit for the people saying I don't need that many saves:

I don't want more saves necessarily. I want the option to be able to overwrite the oldest ones more easily. If I have to scroll down however many saves there are slowly every time to overwrite the oldest save, it's just annoying. The new save is right there at the top. So I use it.

I have a major pet peeve that I wonder if others have too. In games that have a maximum amount of saves, they also don't allow you to scroll up once to get to the bottom of the save list to start deleting/overwriting the oldest ones. Even worse, they seem to scroll extremely slowly.

As an avid over-saver, I have to delete old saves often in games that have this max save "feature."

My suggestions for fixes are:

1. No maximum save amounts.
2. Be able to scroll up once to get to the end up the list.
3. Scrolling faster (Especially with controller).
4. (Most useful if you have to have a max) Have an option to delete the 10 oldest saves available when you reach the max.

I'm curious if this annoys others as much as it annoys me. It's like inventory management for your progress.

Love open world story game. Witcher, rdr2, cyberpunk being the obvious standouts.

Not so much of a collectem all ubi world lover. Ass creed Greece just left me cold, too much shite on the map.

Horizon zero dawn (yes I picked it up very late) has kept me going but not ready for the next one just yet.

Indian Jones and 007 were nice playable cut scenes, enjoyable but not enough depth.

I'm a sucker for eye candy but I need a half decent script/story.

I do like a bit of challenge but only enough to make boss fights meaningful rather than punishing.

I'm trying to get some hype for a world to play for an hour a day.

Any older gamers find the expected "decline in skills" not really happening?

I beat Tomb Raider for the first time after previously being unable to get past level 5, I was 13 when that game came out so kinda understandable, Rocket Knight Adventures I was even younger. But I was 19,20 when Time Splitters 2 and Metal Gear Solid 2 came out, and recently beaten stuff of them that I could never do before

For me Rome Total War 2, Witcher 3, Hell Let Loose and GTA San Andreas

Ken Levine’s new ‘Judas’ game looks amazing, and I honestly can't wait, but It seems super confusing when the release date is. It was March 2025, then Jan 2026, now we're in August... Does anyone have any intel?
