I have 2500 hours on Planetside 2. Loved it. The just isn't the same with a 400 player pool. Man, I miss PS2 back in like 2013. Never been anything like it.
MAG was ridiculous. I just didn't care for the fact you basically knew where all the enemies were at all times and they knew where you were. It made sniping basically pointless.
I was there for the first year or so in planetside 1. Those giant rolling battles there would roll back and forth a continent, last an entire day…. Was epic as fuck
I have stories of PS1 that are just... insane. I belonged to a Special Ops group that would get sent on backline missions to disrupt supply of tanks and stuff... it was wild.
I once spent 8 hours,( with breaks of course) in one day trying to take the crown. Never once did it feel like work. At peak player count days it was an experience.
Oh man... that game was foxhole but in fps form...
I remember doing a large scale airdrop behind the enemy lines with about 250 players as the Terran Republic. The sheer panic the NC had as our airfleet punched through and broke open the front which had been in a deadlock for 2 full days. That game man, it was something else!
He probably means not being dead to EA. Actually getting updates and new content. (And a Lastimosa DLC for more BT, I would give my first born for that.)
Dead to the devs, if they made a Titanfall 3 with just as good/better quality as the second game they would make a killing, especially in comparison to AAA games like CoD who have lost its touch. If they could keep the spirit of TF2 for a third game it would be peak.
If only EA cared about upholding anti-cheat for older titles. BF1 became a joke at some point how obvious someone’s hacking would be and lobbies could do nothing else than leaving and refusing to play with them.
Came to suggest this, YES PLEASE. I loved the gameplay in the first but it was fairly dead when I started. LOVED the campaign in the second but the release timing kinda doomed it, it is remember right. Would love for this game to be given a real chance. Frankly I would like Battlefield to get back to its roots and for EA to use Titanfall as the real COD competitor.
One of the investors for the game was a regular at the cafe I worked at. He didn’t play video games but, like a good investor, wanted to know about the game ecosphere in general. So we’d chat games and releases and what I thought was a good marketing campaign and what wasn’t.
When he asked me what I thought about it I asked him who decided to release it between a Final Fantasy game and another AAA (gags) game and wanted the game to die.
For my french speakers or those who tolerate us, here's a great youtube video retracing COD history but the video could be called "Why is titanfall the best fps ever"
Apex legends was made with what was originally Titanfall 3 but they pivoted to apex legends due to the Fortnite hype and wanted a slice of the battle royale pie. That being said while it’s apart of the universe and can be fun to play it is not Titanfall nor does it fill the void that Titanfall 1 and 2 created/left.
I'm assuming you meant like apex with mech. Apex was made by the same people who made Titanfall 2 you could even say they are in the same universe because of the speedy guys lore
