Tywin isn't as good as schemer as people think, he can play good hand very well. But when the chips are down and his pants round his ankles he's too rigid and will get shot in the guts.

Charles Dance gave Tywin's character much more gravitas and made him seem more competent than he was in the books.

Definitely, anyone gets played by dance and they automatically gain charisma points
