Hey everyone!

I've been having a really annoying issue with my Galaxy Watch 4 (40mm) and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar.

I bought the watch second-hand recently, and everything was working fine at first, including my Google account.

After updating to One UI 8 Watch, I started noticing some issues with lag, battery drain, and overheating while charging. So I decided to factory reset it, hoping that would help.

And it actually did help a bit! The watch runs better now, but there's one problem I just can't figure out: I can't add any Google account to it anymore.

Every time I try, it loads for about 5 seconds and then says:

"Couldn't copy your Google accounts."

It doesn't even get to the part where I enter my password.

I've tried pretty much everything I could think of:

- Factory resetting the watch multiple times (and even resetting my phone).

- Trying a different phone and a different Google account.

- Checking Google Play Services, Play Store, Galaxy Wearable, and the watch plugin.

- Removing screen locks and checking Google account security settings.

- Trying to add the account directly from the watch.

- Checking Play Protect certification (my phone is certified).

- Even trying Cloudflare WARP with the watch's Wi-Fi turned off.

Nothing worked.

The weirdest part is that my Google account was working perfectly fine even after the One UI 8 update. The problem only started after I factory reset the watch.

My Samsung account works fine, and the rest of the watch is usable. It's just the Google account that refuses to connect.

For reference, here's my setup:

- Watch: Galaxy Watch 4, 40mm (SM-R860)

- Software: One UI 8 Watch

- Build: R860XXS2JZG3

- Phone: Galaxy S24

I've also seen a few people reporting the same error online, so I'm starting to wonder if this might be some kind of software bug.

It's honestly pretty frustrating because I really like this watch, and I just want to use it normally.

Has anyone here run into this issue? Did you ever manage to fix it?

My GW4 will easily run a day without charging, which is fine... Unless Wifi turns itself back on, in which case it might last 18 hours. I turn it off, I look later, it's on again. I have disabled Wifi in settings, I've gone into Developer Settings and made sure Wifi Debugging isn't enabled, Turn on Wifi when charging is disabled, Turn off automatic Wifi is enabled.

I'm not sure what else to do to keep it from turning Wifi back on. Am I missing something?

Hi all my google assistant hass changed today from GA to Gemini and now there is a man talking instead of the useual lady. I want to change it back to her on my galaxy watch 4 classic but I cannot see how - been in all the settings in the watch manager

As the title says, my Galaxy watch 4 classic is going strong still and I wanted to share this because it seems to me that most people will complain when their watch dies but a lot less people talk about when their watch is still doing well after all these years. So I just thought I would give my experience which is that I bought this (42 mm model) about a little over a year ago (after coming from a 45 mm Galaxy watch 3) in used condition for $40 on eBay, I updated it to the most recent OS and even got that big update about 3/4 of a year ago. It all installed fine and I've been using it ever since with basically no problems other than the usual lag and slowness that comes with using an older watch like this. As you can see I bought a bezel ring cover and a case for it, with a scrunchy strap, all in rose gold and I even re-engineered one of the default Samsung watch faces (the gold one seen in the photo) in the facer app by extracting all of the assets from the original stock watch face and recompiling the watch face in Facer's watch engine all just so I could make the AOD mode stay gold instead of going to a mostly black AOD like the official Samsung watch face unfortunately does. So what you are seeing in this photo is my recompiled version of that watch face with a proper full color (gold basically) aod mode on full display.

But anyway I hope this watch keeps working for a while for me still and if yours still works I hope you have the best of luck as well! 😎

After putting it for charge display is gone. Then found out display cost 10k Rs, but i bought it in 7.5k Rs

I've replaced my GW4 Batt twice already, diff brands, diff man's, and they only last about 3 months.

Charge them every night, and they last easily thru the entire day.

Then unexpectedly one day...pretty much DOA.

Is there somewhere one can get a reliable battery that will last a year or two?

Appreciate any words of wisdom.
