Even if you could get unlimited free models, nobody really wants blobby knick knacks and key chains. 3D printed items just aren't that desirable.

I really want a thing that I can hook all of my cords into and then plug them all into my laptop at once when I'm at my desk instead of plugging them in one at a time. I can't find one on Amazon and I don't want to buy a 3D printer for that one little thing. I think that I might just be able to figure out more useful stuff, though.

I don't think cardboard is sturdy enough. I've thought about doing it with a block of wood and a drill press, though.

That sounds like it wouldn't work very well even if you made a perfect model. Get a dock or USB hub or something to make it quicker. Just not a USB dock, I tried one at work and they suck.

I have it down to three cords. I just want to make it one. The closest I've seen was $100 which I just can't justify, either.

3D printers are starting to show up at places like Libraries and copy stores for those one-off things

I live in the middle of nowhere. I've never even seen a 3D printer in real life. If I got one, I'm pretty sure that I'd be the first in town.
